How To Make a Ghost Ring
To begin with, you will need a short length of tubing. 1-2 inches works fine. Carbon fiber, metal, or plastic will all work in this application although different methods may be needed to cut different materials. Mark the tubing to the desired length and then cut, making sure to cut straight across.

Next, measure the width of the slot you will need to cut so your ghost ring can slide onto the feedblock .36 - .40 inches should work. Next, cut our the slot slightly smaller than you measured and use sand paper to fine tune it. Be certain that you mark straight lines on your ghost ring or it will not fit correctly. You may want to slightly round the edges of the ghost ring so it does not damage your feedblock.

Next, make sure your ghost ring sits flat on your feedblock, if not, use sand paper and attempt to fix it. You can only do this so much before your ghostring becomes too loose, so be careful.

Another thing you may want to do is add a small post to the center of your ghost ring to help you find the center faster. To do this, simply cut a small nail to about 1/3 of an inch, and round the tip. Use a drill to make a small whole in your ghostring. Using a slightly larger drill bit to create a countersink for the head of the nail.

Use super-glue or epoxy to attach the post to your ghost ring.
